I left off right before Joseph arrived at our flat.
Joseph arrives. Whoa, crazy, "haha". We lived right across from each other last year. What are the chances? "want to grab a beer?"
Off we go. Earlier in the day, Gabor and I passed a small beer festival near the square Deak Terenc. It seems like a good idea.
It turns out to be a Czech beer festival. We grab two beers each and start wandering through the crowds. The first table we try to sit down at is a bust.
INTERRUPTION:NOTE: I am a dumbass. There is an SD memory card slot on my netbook.
Let the photos begin. Actually, I have no photos associated with this evening.
As I was saying.. the first table was a complete bust. Joseph and I sit down across from three Hungarian girls and say hey. They immediately reply with 'someone is already sitting there'. Cool.. whatever.
I must admit that our confidence in meeting the people of Budapest was shot for a few minutes, but soon enough we sit down and meet Bince. Bince is probably about 30 and lives and works in Budapest. We ask for advice about the city, and he immediately gives us the full rundown - where to eat, where to drink, which festivals we need to look out for, the dangerous parts of the city. He hits on just about everything in the twenty minutes we spend chatting with him.
We finish our beers and continue to walk through the city.
A few little conversations here and there on our way to the main event.
and as i am talking to a girl that i really like,... this entry will have to wait.
so long.
danny.
